Finally managed to find the answer to this one.
1) DON'T add a custom application, leave it on "Any Application"
2) then in Advanced, Reverse the Zoom Axes
My mistake was thinking that adding the application actually did something.

Reverse zoom
I can't seem to reverse the zoom using Mac OS X 10.6.8
I've tested it in SecondLife and if I pull backwards the avatar walks forwards and vice-versa. Clicking the "Reversed" check-box in the Preference Pane does nothing!
Has anyone else experience with SL or Firestorm?
