works... and NOT works
OK... this is weird. Using the latest drivers, on a PPC Quad G5 Mac running 10.5.2, with 8 gigs RAM I get this: The test programs within system prefs work just fine. That means that the hardware is seen and is communicating. But - nothing- else will respond. Not QuickTime; not GoogleEarth; not D2-dx...

Well, having found the problem (one third-party company's particular cubic panoramas) wouldn't the solution as far as you're concerned be to use a different panorama as your demo? And, if you're feeling generous, point out to them that they've doing something wrong in the setup of their cubics that ...

Actually, I am a long-time QT developer... I believe that it’s the default settings of “Pano2QTVR pro” which was used to make the movie. I went to their website, www.pano2qtvr.com and discovered that -none- of their sample QTVR -cubics- will work properly, although their simple panoramas do. So it’s...

Well, here's the results, and I'm afraid you're not going to be pleased with them: it appears to be your movie. I removed all the QT extensions (plugins) and rebooted. Nope: same thing - yours won't run unless I click on another one first. Quitting QuickTime is sufficient to invoke this issue. Doubl...

Well, this is interesting. If I run a different QTVR first (an old one from 2003) that one works fine. Next I go to your demo QTVR and try it. It works. (Whee!) Here's the interesting part: Next I run your box demo. It works. Go back to your QTVR demo.... and it doesn't work! Back to the top: run my...

QTVR not working for me...
... and apparently I'm the only one, eh? The other demo, and the axis numbers are working fine, but qtvr simply won't respond. 10.4.9 PPC Quad (and yes, the machine has been rebooted.)
