Yes. I tried several of the demos just now and when I pull up or push down on the joystick it seems to be linked to the left and right direction as well. The direction that does not work (turning mouse to the bottom right) in Solidworks also seems to not work in the demo...

Fred,
I tried the complete unistall and re-installed 3Dxware 10.
The problems persist just like before. It seems like this is a hardware problem. Would you agree?

Have you tried opening the 3Dconnexion Control Panel and clicking the radio button showing the zoom function as up/down motion of the puck?
I have to reset this option every time I reinstall the software.
You may also want to reverse the zoom direction as well (last tab in the control panel).
