I called tech support and was able to get this worked out.

Bottom line for me: roll back to V10.1.4
The latest version did not work for me with SW2014 and the SpaceExplorer USB.

I went through and updated to the latest driver, and now my SolidWorks is all screwed up and I am getting no response from 3Dx. Becoming increasingly unhappy.
