Fixed it - there was an old script sitting in the plugins bin - once removed it all worked.
General question: - Where do the device pref's live? This would be useful to stick on a memory stick if clients need me on their machines.

Just a correction on my first posting, I said I imagined they wouldn't send the product out on trial but I was corrected on that by the sales chap; they can be sent out on tiral.
