Re: C4D support, where?

I saw that C4D was supposedly supported on the support list but there was no plugin in the downloaded installer, is it somewhere else? Support is built in from Maxon. In R10.111, Windows Menu>Space Mouse. The Space Mouse palette must be open for it to work. It can be pinned as a tab next to the Obj...

Sam, NNA has just included Space Navigator "support" in the latest release of VW. There is a thread on the VectorWorks Forum: http://techboard.nemetschek.net/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Board=7&Number=88779&Searchpage=1&Main=19195&Words=Space+Navigator&to...

I'm using the Space Navigator. In C4D, I can prevent roll by going to the Space Mouse manager, Navigate tab - Rotation: leave only H checked for Axis. I can still Zoom, Rotate around Y and go up & down, but no Roll. H controls Heading so rotation is around the Y Axis. P (Pitch) and B(Banking) ca...

Glenn, I don't have Maya, so I can't see how it differs from C4D. Is the horizon you refer to the grid formed on the XZ plane? Wouldn't the action you describe change the orientation/position of the model relative to this plane rather than just your view of it? I understand the grid to be a visual r...

Try this in the C4D Space Mouse settings:

Navigate Tab
Translation - turn off Y
Rotation - select H (Heading), turn off P(Pitch) & B(Bank), Select Axis from drop down.

Google Earth is made up of stitched together satellite images. The resolution varies, generally sharper in urban areas. As far as I know, you cannot manually sharpen these images.

Open the 3dconnexion control panel, set up your button functions, then: Options>Save As>"Config Name" (eg C4D). This C4D Config should reload when you start C4D.

C4D has built in support. In the R10 Menu:

Window>Space Mouse>Space Mouse Dialog

It must be open for the Nav. to work. You can pin it as a tab with the Managers to save screen space. Save the Layout & it will load automatically.

The dialog can be kept open but out of view by dragging it into the Manager area. Place the cursor in the upper right area of the pallet, when it changes to a hand, drag it over the same area in the manager and it will dock as a tab. I don't know why the performance changes, it stays the same in bot...

In your C4D demo, is "Spacemouse" listed in the Widow menu at the top? If so select Window>Spacemouse>Spacemouse Dialogue to load the built in driver. In my copy of C4D 10, when I switch to the built in BP 3D layout, I have to turn it on again via the same menu option. I don't know if the ...
