3DConnexion hangs with Google Earth

I tried searching for this problem but couldn't find anything.

When I open Google Earth I have control through the 3D device for about 5-10 seconds...and then it hangs.

My Google Earth rev is 4.0.xxx.

Any ideas will be appreciated.
