Re: Camera mode vs. Helicopter mode
Hey Barbara,
Sorry to be so dense. But when you say " It can depend on whether you are looking at your model relative to the desktop or to the screen." What do you mean? By desktop do you mean the computer's desktop and how is that different from the screen?
Thank you.

Re: Camera mode vs. Helicopter mode
Hey Barbara, I really appreciate your answer, but I'm not sure I understand the difference between camera mode and helicopter mode. You say: "Camera Mode and Helicopter Mode provide different viewpoints on a model. With Camera Mode the navigation behaves as if the Space Navigator is a camera be...

Which 3d mouse to get?
Have bought Space Navigator and note the more expensive options available. Apart from more buttons and a cradle for your hand, are the more expensive options any better at "flying" through an architectural model than the little Space Navigator?
Thank you.
Thank you.

Camera mode vs. Helicopter mode
I'm new to the Space Navigator and need it for flying through architectural models (Rhino). Can someone tell me the difference between camera mode and helicopter mode, and why Lock horizon is only available in camera mode, but not in helicopter mode? Is there a manual for Space navigator that would ...

Re: Lock Horizon in Rhino 5
Alright, all, I was able to make it work. I uninstalled the current driver and installed 10.3.0 from 3d Connexion's archive. I then created an alias for the following macro: ! _SpaceMouse _Popup_Menu When I trigger the alias, a menu comes up with the Camera/Helicopter option. If you choose Camera mo...

Re: Lock Horizon in Rhino 5
Dear Archimess,
This is intriguing.
Could you be more specific when you mean “and then the dedicated pop-up will work on a button click inside Rhino…” What do you mean by “a button click inside Rhino”?
Thank you.
