CadMouse | Hold Modifier Key & Mouse Cursor Coords

While using the new system, how do I make it hold down a modifier key, i.e. Shift, while other keys are pressed & released? Old style (Ctrl + ←) <KeyPress>E0</KeyPress> <KeyPress>50</KeyPress> <KeyRelease>50</KeyRelease> <KeyPress>50</KeyPress> <KeyRelease>50</KeyRelease> <KeyRelease>E0</KeyRele...

Cross-App Functionality & Mouse Movement

A while back we were talking about the mouse movement the CadMouse is capable of, and I was wondering if the devs had any user feedback, so here is some. MouseX/why work pretty well, but I notice that to move in large increments seems reliant on breaking the movement into smaller increments with sev...

Re: 8 sections radial menu barely usable :(

That's interesting. I'm not sure. I'm just an end-user as well, but I've been looking over all the XMLs & configs. There's a lot of functionality that can be changed. I've found literally every tag that's there, and there a lot of them. For instance I just found out how to simulate mouse movemen...

Re: cadmouse!!!

Hi, I use CadMouse, so I am not sure if there is a newer version than the one I own. Mine was recently replaced for free after a glitch sprang up about 10 months into using it, but I was told the replacement model specifically addressed this issue. That was my oy complaint. As I don't have anything ...

Re: Simulate Mouse Movement?

I figured it out. Just in case anyone else is interested, you can add mouse movement to your XML's using <MouseX> & <MouseY>. Use positive numbers to move mouse right, negative to move it left. Ex: <MacroEntry> <ID>MoveRight</ID> <Sequence> <MouseX>25</MouseX> <MouseX>25</MouseX> <MouseX>25</Mou...

Re: Quicker Way to Switch Profiles?

Jwick, Here's what I've got so far. I just looked through the base.xml and figured out a few things. Also, I get what you're saying about the LCD - CadMouse has none, but it would still be interesting to see if I could get the feel for maybe 2 switchable profiles. AxisAction Type split into App, Joy...

Simulate Mouse Movement?

I'm looking through some stuff to see if I can find this, but maybe someone knows.

I want to simulate mouse movement with my CadMouse. Dragging movement like we normally do to re-position the cursor. For example, my cursor would start at x 300 y 600 and move to x 400 y 600.

Thanks!

Re: How to create new group of functions in separate environment?

Hello, I am interested in taking part in this project. I am familiar with some of the technical bits, but it's just a hobby. I only have a CadMouse, but I think it can interface with the software to get more functionality. I'll look over things a bit more and see what I can manage.

Re: 8 sections radial menu barely usable :(

If you want to edit your XMLs (pretty easy tbh, but inconvenient), look for your 3dx cfg folder (not the roaming one, though you can edit those as well) and open base.xml. Open that file as an administrator in Notepad (I use Notepad++ but either should work). Ctrl + F to bring up Find... & type ...

Quicker Way to Switch Profiles?

It is helpful to have multiple profiles setup for certain applications that are context-driven. I am wondering what methods are available to quickly change a profile, hopefully in one to two clicks. It can be a moderate inconvenience to switch profiles for a single program, while making sure you don...

Cadmouse/3dConnexion Props not Recognizing Several Apps

Hello. Problem: Certain applications will not allow for macros or customized button assignments. This is an issue with my latest version of GIMP (2.10) a popular image editing application. Additionally (and maybe correlated) the properties dialog box is sometimes very frustrating when I try to get i...
