I also have a space mouse enterprise that I would like to use with linux (Ubuntu linux). Does SDL 2.0 have a way to capture the events or is there a hard requirement for the spcaemouse driver to get the buttons? I would much rather 3DConnection release their own driver...

Well, if there isn't support for the device on linux, is there a way I can read the raw TXYZ and RXY values off of the bus? The same for the buttons on the side. Is there a way I can do to listen to the USB bus such that I can read all of the relevant data? Maybe a python script would work? I see th...
