The question has come up as to why a firewall exception is required for this executable. Is the driver required to access the internet for it to operate properly?

Yes, the 3DxSoftware has been the only software listed in the Add/Remove Programs listing.

Unfortunately at my organization I cannot create firewall exceptions.

I have initiated a request to IT to see if the firewall exception is allowed. If there is more to try please continue.

I installed 3.4.2 using the custom install and only installing 3DxWare and the Pro/Engineer plug-in. I still have the same effect. Also, hitting Calibrate didn't make any difference.

I'm experiencing a 5 to 10 second delay with the WF3 M040 GUI using the Spaceball 5000 drivers. It occurs once a file has been opened. If the driver is uninstalled the problem disappears.
