3D Axes for system wide scroll/pan/zoom
Hello, I have really been enjoying the SpaceMouse a lot in Blender, C4D, and Houdini! One thing I keep finding myself reaching for is the ability to use the 3D mouse system wide for scrolling/panning in 2D pages throughout macOS. I have become addicted to the way that Blender's 2D node panes (Geomet...

Re: 3d Space Mouse not working with Safari or Adobe Reader
Namaste, Trust you are all doing well. I have my 3d Space mouse installed on Macbook pro Ventura version 10.8.4 (3716). It's working fine in Archicad software but I wanted to zoom, scroll pages in Adobe Acrobat pro or Safari. I am not able to do it, do I need to download any extensions or is it som...

Re: 3d Space Mouse not working with Safari or Adobe Reader
Most apps that are listed in 3DxWare latest insider build (10.8.5 r3793) configure list are still not working for me on Sonoma w/ M1 Mac. I do have the spacemouse working in Cinema 4D and another app (Houdini 20.5) so the system is obviously seeing my spacemouse, but all other apps seem unconfigurab...

Re: Software is not allowed to load
Are you on an intel mac or M series? From the looks of it, they are digging into some issues with the latest version of Mac OS 15 (Sequoia) so maybe hold tight for an update. I am running 14.5 on an M1 w/ 3DxWare 10.8.4 and have things partially working. The axes functionality for "Any Applicat...

Re: MacOS Sequoia
Does this mean that functionality in "Any Application" will be restored in Sequoia?
I have been wanting to map the spacemouse axes to scrolling, but have not been able to get it to work in Sonoma on an M1 mac

Re: What app would you like to see supported on Mac OS X?
Cinema 4D 2025 just released
Tested it and it does not work with spacemouse on M1 mac in 3DxWare 10.8.4, hopefully it's easy to get that one included in the next driver update

Re: macOS Sonoma
I'm experiencing this too w/ same hardware & OS.
The axes don't seem to be programmable in the "Any Application" configuration in the preference pane. Any way to get this working?

Re: What app would you like to see supported on Mac OS X?
Unity 2022+ for mac (apple silicon / M series processors) would be excellent. I see there are others who are hoping to use Unity with mac as well! Unity's option+mouse camera controls can be quite annoying at times, which is I think why they implemented a wasd style camera operation. But spacemouse ...

Re: 3d Space Mouse not working with Safari or Adobe Reader
... Scrolling in apps such as Safari or Adobe Acrobat Reader on macOS isn't supported with the SpaceMouse with 3DxWare version 10.8.4. Thanks, this is good to know! I was confused because Safari and Acrobat Reader are both listed in the pref pane of 10.8.4 Do you know if this kind of simple scroll ...

Re: Houdini 19.5 on macOS 14
Ok not out of the woods yet...
I guess when I reinstalled, I used the intel version of houdini on my M1 mac...
After reinstalling with the arm64 native version of houdini, it is once again broken.
So, it looks like the drivers are only compatible with the intel/x86 version of houdini
