I just noticed something else...
It appears that the app configuration check marks change on their own. I can fairly consistently get a change by opening the jet demo and clicking on the plane with my mouse and then fiddling with the puck. Although there is still no movement, if i reopen the control panel tilt/spin/roll is now unch...

LOGITECH produces a vacuum
I bought a SpaceNavigator and it does not work.
I cannot return it without a restocking fee and 3d connexion refuses to support it.
The puck is recognized by windows (XP), and I can get the interface software to turn the leds on and off, but no motion. Help.
