When I used to use spaceballs, I rarely used the buttons, maybe to re-center and re-zero the part once in awhile, that was about it. Therefore I think that the explorer would be the best for me. I like the ergonomic pad for your wrist, I had it on my spaceball 5000 and it was comfortable.

What is it that the pilot has over the explorer? Just the LCD screen?
Doesnt the explorer do the same as the pilot, just without the LCD?

Are these new models similar to the way a spaceball was used? Should I just buy a spaceball 5000? Can you still buy them new? i cannot locate them anywhere but used on Ebay.

SpaceExplorer vs. SpacePilot

I am a CAD designer working on 1 workstation with multiple CAD apps. What would be the best option for me to purchase? What are the benefits of pilot vs explorer, I cannot see any that would be more beneficial to me.
