I moved your post here. This is the only place monitored by the Max developers. The Developer's forum is only monitored for the purposes of helping people add support to their own applications. Well, that answers my question that I just posted on the developer's forum. Fred advised me to leave a po...

I left a post on this forum earlier today and it has disappeared. Can someone please tell me if it has been moved elsewhere?

Need plug-in for 3ds max 5

Hi, I consulted with Fred this morning about installing plug-ins to run my new Space Navigator on 3ds max 5 with no luck. He sent me an older set of script files that was known to work with version 5 but he surmised that it didn't work because my device is newer than what the plug-in was meant to ru...

Fred, That sounds like a plan. My email is ************************. I've already removed the max plugin files as they were generating the annoying error messages so installing the new (old) files should be a breeze. Thanks, :) Angelo Edit (moderator): remove e-mail address from public view. I see ...

Fred,

Have you been able to find the 2.8.2 3dsmax plugin? I'm anxiously waiting.

Yes I did, Fred. I followed the instructions in the Readme file which are just as you describe because they don't get installed automatically. Upon loading plugins at startup, Max gave me two error messages with no banner to follow. The first error reads "DLL C:\Program Files\3dsmax5\StdPlugs\3...

Is 3ds max 5.1 supported?

Hi. I'm new to this forum as I just received my SpaceNavigator today. Is 3ds max 5.1 supported? According to the ReadMe file version 5 and higher is supported, however I receive an error loading the script files when max starts up. Has anyone else experienced this?
