Re: work around for Sketchup on case sensitive partition

I had the same problem (I think): When I used Sketchup, with a scene that has almost a million faces, the SpaceNavigator seemed to only move the screen one little 'bump,' then nothing. After trying different driver versions, Sketchup versions, lots of other stuff, I stumbled on a workaround: make su...

Darn, wanted to edit my post to fix the list. Should have been a numbered list.

I also wanted to add my thanks! Thanks very much for the solution.

Even better, I was able to use some of those steps to get it done more simply and quickly: Install Google Sketchup version 6. It is available at http://dl.google.com/sketchup/gsu6/PM101494ENA.dmg. No need to run it; just install. Open the System Preferences > 3DConnexion Configuration Panel. Click o...

I need this info, too. I just installed Sketchup 8, and... my Space Navigator doesn't work with it.

I need to know what to do to make Google Sketchup 8 work with my Space Navigator. Can you help, please?

Thank you,

Space Navigator not working with blender 2.5 beta yet

Any news or hope that my Space Navigators will work with blender? The beta looks really good. I sure wish my Space Navs worked with it.

I carry mine in a tea tin that happens to be large enough. Windsor Gardens Pure Ceylon Tea, 3 oz/8.75g, from Bentley's Fine Teas via a small specialty shop near me (in the USA) It's roughly a tin cube with a lid. I stuffed a bandana in the bottom for padding. It's gotten a bit dented in the 4 months...

Just a quick note: I see Ettore's tips, above in same thread, for adjusting the Space Navigator's motions and speeds in blender, and... they are helping a lot! Awesomely wonderful. Thanks again! :D

Luckily for us, blender 2.46 has been released. I tried Space Navigator with it, and it's working! Fantastic! :D

Awesome news! blender 2.46 is out for Mac OSX! I tried it, moments ago, with the 3D Connexions Space Navigator plugin placed in its "plugins" folder. It works! Hurray! This is going to be awesome. I like the SN very much. Later, I'll be looking for tips on how to adjust the SN's movements ...

I just tried this hint. Thanks... but so far, no go. That blender doesn't even launch on my MacBook Pro running 10.4.11. This is about the 5th blender I've tried today.

Can anyone link me to a version for Intel Mac that works with Space Navigator?

Intel MacBook Pro, blender, and Space Navigator: supported?

I was under the impression that blender is supported, but that seems not to be the case, at least, not "out of the box." I tried the latest version of blender, 2.45, first. Nope. Next, I searched the web and eventually, I found this forum thread. I see you've gotten it working on a PPC mac...
