Unfortunately, the error still occurs with the latest driver v1.5.2.
So what is the current state in resolving this issue?

driver v1.5.1 doesn't solve the problem

When using the Space Navigator (Standard Edition, driver v1.5.0) In Maya 2008 on OS X (10.5.3) with a tool being active (e.g. Split Polygon Tool, Extrude Tool, Append to Polygon Tool etc.) I get the following error message in the Script Editor: // Error: No valid objects supplied to 'xform' command....
