Really ? So there's no answer to this ? I have done some more digging and asking questions of IT personnel here and it seems for our customized pipe, we have here, we have to launch a shell (CMD) and then type a command that sets our Maya / Max / Nuke / Houdini environment up based on ...

Maya Manual Install

I work for a Visual Effects company that runs their software over their Ethernet, so I don't have maya installed locally at my machine, although I have the /My Documents/Maya etc... folders for 2009 & 2010 etc... the 3DX installer fails to see this as a valid install, as it won't put the driver ...

He's talking about finding out who's coding your Front end in CE, and seeing if they can use the API to interface to the Navigator, and see if they can hook the values up... or some sort of standalone WinCE app that reads input from Navigator to control the windows sound mixer.... etc... which would...

I do use it for Maya, but not like Photoshop, or other image viewing apps, I must say it is nice to be able to be in a 2D window like the UV editor, and still have 3D control even though that window does not have focus. It's a personal preference thing I guess... but should be an option in the contr...

I am unable to reproduce this. If I disable the "Auto Keyframe toggle" there is no change to my camera - perhaps I missed something? Under which conditions does this occur? The danger of stepping on your keys should only really exist when you have the AutoKey Button in Maya "Armed&qu...

Ok, That (3D Lock) fixes the ability to pan around, and once in a perspective window you can switch between top left right front etc... but there's no way to switch between perspective and isometric.

I Purchased a Space Navigator, and installed your software, after which I brought home my pilot, swapped them out and unplugged the Navigator, that seemed to go fine, but as soon as I unplugged the Pilot, BSD Blue Screen of Death.

As all things in maya there are 10+ ways of doing anything... One is to use the 4 View, and you can see the isometric views and a perspective. You can also hold down space, right click, and drag to the isometric view of your choice, notice that the grid sits below the object or appears to do so, and...

I've noticed similar issues in Maya, as I think the space Pilot tries to anticipate your need of hotkeys based on the maya "Module" you're in. Another Issue for me as a Rigger is I Typically Need to be able to get Isometric viewpoints on a model and be able to see if something is aligned p...

AHHHH ! I'm about ready to toss both spaceballs out the window, since that's something that I CAN do with them.... So I bought a Navigator @ $50 which since it's for home use, I don't care about phone support. and since support seems to be a follocy anyhow, who cares... So I install RB9's driver, an...

Finally Yesterday I got the source to compile, but due to my inexperience in driver compiling I cannot figure out how to set breakpoints, and take a look at what it is failing on, since it's during the installation of the driver that it fails. I've Run "Verifier" on it, and sure enough whe...

Uh, there is no support for this, and the author has no time to continue to further this, I'm deperately trying to get this to work on my Space Pilot. Because it would make navigating all my 3D Apps from game Engines for Development, to 3D Set Design for Previs go faster better easier... especially ...
