Re: macOS Big Sur - Beta Driver Available

Update: Google is now investigating the Big Sur / Google Earth / SpaceNavigator problem! 3Dconnexion had early access to a pre-release of Google Earth Pro and we can confirm the problem has been fixed. Customers can expect the next version of Google Earth Pro to include the modification to restore ...

Re: Space Navigator Unable to install on MacBook Pro

but keep getting "you cannot install here" message when trying to install. I have not even been able to select where to install the program!! You're probably trying to install the 10.6.7 driver on macOS 11. That won't work. For macOS 11 and newer, driver v. 10.7.0 (currently in beta testing) or new...

I am trying to access space mouse from c ++.
Have a look at the Windows SDK as it includes C++ samples. They should get your started. The SDK can be downloaded from here.

I will contact support and reference this.
Note that they may need to confirm the fault from their end.

Re: Help: New SMPro Not working with Zbrush

The button issue is across all applications I have tested (Safari, Word, and also "Any Application"). This indicates a hardware fault. It also explains why rotations were disabled in the "trainer" application: the button that disables rotations was one of the two affected by this problem. You proba...

Re: Help: New SMPro Not working with Zbrush

Some progress: After removing that plist, the trainer now works properly. But the inability to use the buttons "R" and "Rotations On/Off" remains. Is this a hardware problem? Or is the inability to use these two buttons specific to ZBrush or some other application? Driver version: 3DxMacCore 1.1.6 ...

I'd hate to have to ditch the mouse so I'm really hopeful it will work.
We're still here. If something's amiss, we will try to help out.

Re: Help: New SMPro Not working with Zbrush

It's driver version 1.1.2.184 I don't recognise that version. You will find the full version details in the "Tools" tab of the "3Dconnexion" pane in System Preferences. Everything was working fine early yesterday. At some point I used Export Configuration and checked the "Export All Settings." And ...

Re: Help: New SMPro Not working with Zbrush

This is definitely unexpected.

Please confirm the exact driver version as shown on the "Tools" tab.

Below is a screenshot with the default mapping for the "Button Rotations On/Off.

I'll gladly share here if I find a workaround.
Yes, please. I think others will certainly benefit if you demonstrate how to access a SpaceMouse connected over a Universal Receiver in a Python program.

Re: Help: New SMPro Not working with Zbrush

Yes, I did the full trainer, step by step. Inside the trainer, Spin, Tilt and Roll did not function in their respective tabs, nor when in the "All Active" tab. The plot thickens. Please confirm if rotations are enabled in the "Any Application" driver configuration (which is the default and used for...

Is it just those ones shown that need to be installed?
It depends on what applications you have installed and what you want to do. Installing all is fine.

For more details, see the "Deploying individual .msi installers [...]" section in the Administrator Guide.

I really hope this gets fixed in a driver update soon.
Are you positive this is a software issue? Perhaps a key is getting stuck in the pressed-down position?

Re: Help: New SMPro Not working with Zbrush

Now the "R" and "roll-lock keys stopped" working -- I am unable to configure them. We will come to this later. Firstly, we should check why you're seeing the following: in the teapot demo, the Tilt, Roll and Twist do not work. That's not a "demo", it's the "trainer" application. The first panels ar...

I'm using pyUSB.
I'm not familiar with Python libraries used to access USB devices. Have you tried reaching out to the PyUSB developers or other users of the library?
