Understandable. I'll just need to make a Quick Launch shortcut for the application, rather than using the driver menu. Making it clear that the application menu should be used for configuring your directional controls for pan/zoom would be extremely helpful. I happened to ask one of my co-workers ab...

That works... but why aren't all those tabs available from the Application Panel button that's right there on the device?jwick wrote:Use the icon on the desktop, or the entry in the start menu.

Re: Make your configuration changes in the same context.
Dear DPerk, The configuration settings are context sensitive and switch automatically to match the context within which you are working. So if a different user is logged in, the configuration settings will be those of that user. Likewise if that user switches between applications, the applicable co...

Zoom problems with SpacePilot
For no apparent reason, while I was out to lunch today and my computer was locked, my SpacePilot decided to switch the zoom from "into/out of desk" to "towards/away from monitor"... and now it won't let me switch back. This was while SolidWorks was up and running... I closed out ...

Drivers
I uninstalled and re-installed my drivers from the website as well. So that shouldn't be the issue either. I'm going to check my Windows Updates to see if that might be the problem.

Sorry guys
Sorry for the delayed response, I stopped getting emails about responses to the post for some reason. Anyway, still no luck getting the Save command to work in SolidWorks, and just now while I was out for lunch with my computer locked, my SpacePilot has decided that the "in/out of desk" di...

No luck
Well, I added the Save command to the Macro toolbar, mapped it to one of my buttons, and it still doesn't work.... not sure what the problem is. It shows up on the LCD for it, but doesn't actually work the save command.

The only Save command that I see is under the 3DxWare Functions listing and all that does is save my configurations of button mapping. Maybe I'm just missing what I'm looking for? If you can point me to the correct category, please do. Same with Ctrl+q, no idea where that is. I also lack the knowled...

Save Command
Is there a way to map a simple "Save" to my SpacePilot? I'm working with some serious assemblies (32MB+) which makes SW '09 SP2.0 with PDM pretty unstable... so I save frequently. Also, I was hoping to maybe map Ctrl+Q to one of my buttons as well - it's much more effective than a rebuild....

Maybe...
I'm sure that a separate number pad would be very useful for someone working with a laptop. Various companies do sell those (probably wired). I would like to see something similar to the Logitech MX Revolution with possibly some hot keys on it (mapped to keyboard-style shortcuts like R for recent do...
