I tested it with 3.6.8 on Windows XP with the same results, I guess it's a hardware issue then. Very strange for this sort of hardware failure at this point in the device's life, but thankfully I'm still under warranty.

Bryan: No, I tried it for a bit in google earth but got very erratic behavior as the axes are fighting. jwick: to prove this, I'm going to install XP to a tertiary computer with the driver I last used that worked (3.6.8 I believe) and whether or not that works will prove if this is driver or hardware.

Hard to explain, here are the features in the advanced settings. Each of them works fine when it is the only axis enabled. Actually looking at KAZL's post it looks like the newer drivers are the culprit on all Windows systems. My guess is the older drivers that didn't have this issue were only compatible with XP, which is why it looks like a Windows 7 issue. Regardless, you guys really need to test your driver.

I have this exact same issue, I have this issue in Google Earth. It appears that for zooming (up/down motion) it sends both the zoom and one of the tilt axes simultaneously while I'm clearly only using one of the axes.
