I reinstalled the driver and cleaned out my Sketchup Plugins folder and now everything works just perfect! I don't know exactly what caused the bugsplat, but I think it was an old plugin -- I deleted several ones that I don't use anymore but still have about 40, but no troubles with them.

Now when I try to enable the Sketchup plugin from the control panel, I get an error message:
"The feature you are trying to use is now currently available."

Uta, Sketchup works fine after following your instructions above. It was working fine yesterday as well. I just got my SpacePilot Pro today, installed the latest driver from 3dconnexion website (I'm on Vista 64-bit), and when I open Sketchup I get an immediate bugsplat. It doesn't matter if the SpacePilot is plugged in or not...instant bugsplat! SpacePilot works just fine in Google Earth, so I suspect ...
