Re: Is SpacePilot still blocked?
Thank you very much for unlocking the good old space pilot on your driver, 3dconnexion.

Re: Is SpacePilot still blocked?
It's not like the hardware is much different, and "release date" is just one year apart. As I understand, 3Dconnexion has a known history of hindering their costumers trying to force them to purchase again instead of focusing on making users fully enabled so the word of mouth do the work f...

Is SpacePilot still blocked?
I have a very old SpaceNavigator, liked the product and purchased a newer fancier SpacePilot. Last year 3dconnexion, in a "funny" move, blocked SpacePilot to run on maya 2015 and my older SpaceNavigator kept working (after all, it's not like former SpacePilot had so different hardware that...

Re: Maya driver always overwrites usersetup.mel
This explains a lot of the unpredictable behavior surrounding my maya and 3dconnexion in ages. I second that. I wish I had read this earlier today to backup my usersetup.mel before trying to workaround another driver issue
I second the apeal.

Re: Where are Maya button mappings saved?
Thank you, Valen. I did overlook custom functions on 3.16.2. I was stuck to the button mapping inside Maya. But in the end (unless I missed something), those custom functions behave like commands. I mean: we can set a button to call a simple "W" key strike, but I can't get it to behave exa...

Re: Where are Maya button mappings saved?
Hmn, I think all my needs would be satisfied if I could map a button to behave like a keyboard key. Just like the ESC, CTRL, ALT and SHIFT default keys and also SPACE and RETURN that are already available at the 3DxWare set, but I would really use several different keyboard keys. In Maya, "W&qu...

Re: Where are Maya button mappings saved?
Hi. On a related issue, how do we assign an user marking menu to a button? Also, is it possible to assign alternate commands to combo keys? For example: - button1 = move tool - shift+button1 = select vertex mode - ctrl+button1 = convert selection to vertex. I'm aware of the config button in space pi...

Didn't like hand rest aligned do forward axis
I've upgraded from a space navigator to a space pilot, but it's not being comfortable. I feel like the ***** design seems more adequate to how I used to use space navigator. I use mostly camera navigation mode for architectural visualization, and feels that my thumb should be near the back. Maybe it...
