Re: SpaceExplorer Not Working in Sketchup Using Mountain Lio

Hi txparticleman, can you please tell me what SketchUp version you are using? Which driver (3DxWareMac) version do you use (1.7.2 official or 10.x beta)? I'll try to reproduce your issues I keep you updated. The internal tracking number for your (also frankwil's) issue is: #6193 Regards, Christian R...

Re: Is SpaceNavigator Really a HID device on Mac OS ?

Hi DC, what you request for our devices has nothing to do with the driver. Its the device. As already said, all of our devices are defined as USB HID Multi Axis Controller. You mention the G27 Racing Wheel (I'm not familiar with it). This device may be defined as HID Joystick Device or even a HID Au...

Re: Is SpaceNavigator Really a HID device on Mac OS ?

Hi DC,

I'm sorry that this thread was no help for you.
Since we do not provide a plugin for our 3D Mice in Unity and the Unity developers do not list our devices (Multi Axis Controller), it would be a good idea to ask them to support our devices.

Regards,

Christian

Re: Maya 2013

Hi Paul, good to year I could help! :) Well, I think you can use the mode which is appropriate for your current work: For example a "city scene". If you manipulate a building in you would most probably select "Object mode". If you want to render your result you may want to place your camera into the...

Re: Maya 2013

Hi Paul, thank you for your information. I think for your issue you can leave the driver panel settings as they are. Do I understand you correct that your expectation are: In "object mode" you push the 3D Mouse cap to the left and the object moves left. And in "(target)camera mode" expect the same, ...

Re: Maya 2013

Hi Vainlord, regarding the inverted axis, please have a look at the pop up menu (within Maya) and make sure, that you are not in "Camera Mode" or "Target Camera Mode". It may feel like inverted axis, especially if you're expecting the behavior to be "Object Mode". If it is "Object Mode" please try s...

Re: Is SpaceNavigator Really a HID device on Mac OS ?

You may also want to try the plugin, that is available for Unity 3D.
See this forum entry: Unity3d joystick support, or other support.

Hi Mike, that is strange and I know you don't like to read this: Works fine for me. I today tested a different macro "<apple><a> + <s>" with a SpaceExplorer and 3DxWareMac 1.6.3 and 10.0.4. Out of curiosity - what does "s" actually do and what is different to "o"? I must apology first, since you sur...

Hi Mike, the only idea I have by now, but you might have don't that already as you "binned the prefs": Please remove the entry "Cinema 4D" and add your freshly installed Cinema 4D within the driver's prefs panel. Can you also please tell me what functions you're trying to map? Regards, Christian Robl

Hi exitcode1, I'm sorry to hear that you've had a crash, apparently with our extension involved. Just a few thoughts and questions on this issue, that might bring us ahead with it: Have you installed all available firmware updates for your MacBookPro? Do you have a virtual machine running, like Virt...

Hi Egonz, so the implementation is done using our driver, which is fine. So for now the hint you can give to the Chimera developers you request some posts ago would be something like: The 3D Mouse events may only be processed when the application is active (is key window). But just to be sure: Pleas...

Hi Egonz, I've an idea on what might go on. Can you please test some things for me: Do changes in your specific configuration apply to Chimera/MacPyMOL? For example if you change the overall speed and/or a button mapping. And does this only apply to the application you did the change for? If you don...

Hello Egonz, nice to hear that you found Chimera working with our 3D Mouse. Not so nice, though very interesting, that on you system all application that support our 3D Mouse are reacting simultaneously - this is not supposed to happen! And yes, normally only the active application should respond to...
