I belive that you are reffering to this post http://www.3dconnexion.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1095 Yes that's the one. Ok, i've understood the display layout and the commands and data to be sent, but I'm still in the proverbial "fog" since I do not see what API should I use to send those ...

Hi darvaru, OK. I get ya. You are more interested in using the LCD for innovative things than the motion controller. There are a lot of very cool things that could be done with it. You could even mix the motion controller in. Imagine controlling winamp with the motion controller with output to a hig...

I'm out of ideas. I plan to address your situation in the next major release of the driver.

Hello darvaru,

What do you want to do with it that you can't do with an SDK?

??? Do you need 3DxNX (our plugin for UG)? It is really only useful for SpacePilots (it adds commands on the LCD). Try uninstalling it (custom installation on 3DxSoftware) and see if UG works after you bounce the driver. I can't think of any reason why it wouldn't accept data from a refreshed driver...

My question is now, why can you alter/save things from the control panel/gui if it it doesn't have no effect or the wrong effect? Truthfully, we do everything we can to make sure you can't access the 3DxWare (driver) GUI when the 3DxInventor plugin is installed. It works quite well when you use the...

It sounds like you are using the 3DxWare GUI to change settings. You should only be using the 3DxInventor plugin to make changes. It could be because 3DxInventor is not installed properly. Try reinstalling it in the Add/Remove Panel or updating it via the 3Dconnexion Update Wizard.

The 5000USB is also nonlinear like the 4000FLX. If you want to adjust the nonlinearity, you can change the Nonlinear Factor entry in the registry at: HKCU/Software/3Dconnexion/3DxWare. 1.7 is the default. Larger numbers will make it more nonlinear.

Hi Sander, I need more details to understand what you are trying to do: What operating system is running on the box the SpaceNavigator connected to? The OWNER field was a placeholder for OEM relationships. You own it if you distribute it <G> Don't get too attached to this config file format. It's getting pretty long in the tooth. I plan on completely replacing it in the future. It is best to not use config files, but we realize you have to since...

Give this a try: 1) Change the APP_CONTROLS_BUTTONS value to FALSE in your 3DxProE.scg file. 2) Change your menu button from Application Panel to 3DxWare Panel (use the GUI to do this). Make sure you use the default 3DxProE.scg file, not your saved userXX.scg file. I actually think there is a bugrep...
