Hi ifog, 3Dconnexion does not actively support Maya on Linux. We still distribute plug-ins for Maya 6 and Maya 6.5 on Linux but only in an "as-is" basis. We do not have a plug-in for Maya 8 on Linux. Regarding Blender, 3Dconnexion provides an SDK for UNIX/Linux and we believe there are act...

It appears that your personalized 3DxWare configuration Maya is configured that particular way and, as such, it does not seem to be a bug. The best is for your to clear your personalized 3DxWare configuration: open the 3DxWare and select "Delete Saved Configuration..." from the "Optio...

Hi goeroe, using the new release (3DxSoftware v. 3.0.7), start Maya and then open the 3DxWare panel: ensure the selected configuration is "Maya" (and not "Maya - username". Try to reproduce the problem again and post the result in this thread.

Hi krivel. 3Dconnexion is well aware of the issues you're reporting. In fact, the limitation is in the XSI application programming interface (API) and 3Dconnexion has already initiated a discussion with Softimage with a view to improve the support of our device. In this situation, we recommend our c...

Adobe Photoshop is no longer an application that 3Dconnexion actively supports on Windows. Users can still go to the 3Dconnexion download page and retrieve a plug-in for 3DxPhotoshop from the archive category. I am not aware of a specific plug-in for Adobe Illustrator but it may have been supported ...

Hi guizai. 3Dconnexion devices are not meant to replace the normal mouse when used for point-and-click operation. Our devices are all about 3D (and in some cases. 2D) navigation. Point-and-click is a user interface feature designed for the normal mouse. Smooth and continuous navigation around or in ...

Hi Benjamin. We encourage our customers to contact the editors of applications that they feel could support our devices. 3Dconnexion actively supports partners and our SDK is a free download.
More than anybody, editors will listen to their customers.

Hi, podemma. Pro/ENGINEER has native support for 3Dconnexion devices. As such, this question should be posed to PTC.
We believe that Pro/E 2001 supports our devices for navigation but the 3Dconnexion plug-in (button mapping feature) is only supported in Wildfire 2.0 and higher.

Hi, TBROWN. This question should be put to CNC Software, the editor of Mastercam.
According to the system requirements for Mastercam X2, 3Dconnexion devices (generically referred to as Spaceball motion controllers in their documentation) are indeed supported.
