Hi DeHeinie,

Beta Treiber
Hallo DeHeinie,
Uta

SpaceNavigator and SuSE 9.x
Hi aguzz, unfortunately you will not be able to use the SpaceNavigator on your first system with kernel 2.6.4. :( The minimum requirement for our USB devices is kernel 2.6.8. This noted in the InstallationInstructions . But the second system is recent enough. You just need the driver that has the fi...

Driver version
Hi Dan,
it would be helpful if you could update the driver to the current version, which is 1.2.7.
Do you see any progress with the newer driver?
Thx,
Uta Ludwig

Hi Dan, you get the error from the Xlib only if you start the driver from the command line. The start from the /etc/inittab should work without xhost + Could you please add the option -debug -E to the start of the driver? The line in the /etc/inittab would then look like this: 3dx:2345:respawn:/etc/...

What I'm doing, is getting the 6 axis values from the linux event interface, and pass them to xevent.xclient.data.s[2] to s[7]. The SDK code seems to expect the values there. Then I'm passing the time interval from the previous motion event to s[8] (in milliseconds). The order of the axis values is...

The spacenavigator can be configured in the xorg.conf, without the 3dxware stuff. Yes, if you want to use it with Blender (or another 3D application that supports input devices via this possibility) this would work. But if you want to use our device wit ProE Wildfire, Unigraphics NX, or Maya or ......
