Input data directly into a spacecraft simulation

Post by alphaumi »

I'm a student at UT Austin and I'm involved in a project that's trying to simulate two spacecraft docking in orbit using a program developed by NASA. We chose the SpaceNav because of the complete 6DOF control, however I'm having a hard time getting the data from the SpaceNav into my C code that simulates the thrusters firing. I'm running the simulation on a Redhat linux machine, kernel 2.6.18. I was trying to get it from Event.xclient.data.s[2 - 7] and put it into my code, but I don't have a lot of programming experience under my belt. Any help appreciated.

Hi,

sorry for the late reply.
Can you be a bit more specific? What kind of problems do you have?
Are you using the SDK from our website? Do you have the latest driver 3DxWareUnix 1.3.0?
