SpaceMouse Entreprise buttons?

Post by Japi »

Hey,

Is there any way to get the SpaceMouse Entreprise buttons to work under Linux (I'm running myself PopOS. It's a variant of Ubuntu). I know there is the SpaceNav project, but with that I only get the 3d buck to work. I would want to also get the buttons to work under Linux. I even tried to xev/xmodmap way to try find if the the device would return some kind of button event, but unfortunately no luck.

I know some apps like Blender can recognize some buttons. But still it is quite limited (just few buttons work, and you even cant reconfigure those few buttons that work).

I also have a space mouse enterprise that I would like to use with linux (Ubuntu linux). Does SDL 2.0 have a way to capture the events or is there a hard requirement for the spcaemouse driver to get the buttons? I would much rather 3DConnection release their own driver...

Try actkbd or qjoypad, actkbd allows you to run commands on keypress, and qjoypad allows you to remap the buttons to keyboard presses.
