Bingo, german setup.

But it is more complicated.
I expected the next day reboot to solve the problems, which did not happen.
And today I killed all 3DCon processes in Activity Monitor and restarting by
opening Driver Settings, before trying to reinstall - without success.

But went on Safari surfing.
And realized at one point that Safari Button assignments worked for the initial
Safari Window, recreated after booting, but not for all Safari Windows I open
from there, in new Windows.
A little later button assignments worked for them too ...

The only thing that still not works is that the Driver Settings in Apple Settings,
do still not update the "App" Dropdown to any active App when switching between
Apps, like it always did in the past on Mac.

(BTW While I heavily miss the Apple Driver option, to switch between App Setting
by Dropdown, in Windows 3DCon Driver Settings )

One of out M1 test machines has the latest macOS 12 Beta (21A5552a).

We can see the emulation of ö working well.

Where do you use Cmd+ö? We would like to check what you're trying to do but we don't know what you mean by "CMD+ä and CMD+ö (forward + backward)".

We understand now. You're using CMD+ä and CMD+ö to go forward and backward in Safari.

The driver ships with a default configuration for Safari. You will need to select it from the drop down menu and change it. If you change the configuration for "Any Application", it does not apply to Safari.

As Safari always had this strange shortcut combination CMD+ä/ö, I always had my
custom Safari Entry for my CADMouse. And i checked it that it was still there,
it just did not work - until a few hours ago.
(E.g. Firefox worked always out of the box with default settings, like it does
with any Mouse by default - on Windows or Linux)

on my CADMouse Side Buttons don't work anymore.
I created Macros for these and assigned to buttons, they work

Yesterday, whilst reviewing your report, we used "keystroke" actions and these also worked fine in Safari (German input source).

There's a minor issue while configuring a new app in 3Dx: after adding the app (Mail in my case) I went to Radial Menus, selected the bottom one, Mapping: Type keystroke and the whole 3Dx Preference Panel crashed.
Crashed again after repeating the steps, stopped crashing if other virtual buttons are configured before the problematic one.

I experienced this even with earlier betas

Do you also have the latest Monterey Public Beta 11 (?),
which seems to be no more that Beta.
As you mentioned a previous Public Beta number code 10 (?)

As the problem just started with the latest PB, 1-2 days ago.

I can try by Macro. Currently I use Keystrokes.
Or rebuild a new Safari Setting.

But my main problem is that the Driver Windows App Chooser does
no more automatically switch Apps.

I'm not sure I follow. What do you mean by "Driver Windows App Chooser"?

Another thing I notice is that both Safari Keystrokes work for my old 3D Navigator.

And - when I use the old Space Nav Tilting to Scroll in Safari,
that worked very much to slow in scroll speed since ever.
But with latest Monterey it is now far too fast :)

I mean the Dropdown, to select which App's Settings to change.

This isn't automatic. Never was. Are you perhaps comparing with our solution for Microsoft Windows?

AFAIR that was always the case on Mac.

When I switched the active App and went back to Settings 3DC Driver Settings,
it activated the new active App's Setup.

Not ?
Did I mix up with Enterprise's Display ?

Nevertheless,
this morning still no CADMouse side buttons for Safari Forward/Backward.

But from time to time they may do some other unexpected keystrokes
like opening new Windows of a Tab Group, but currently tehy do nothing.

I tried :
- switching from keystroke to Macro
- unplugging and reconnecting my CADMouse
- Overwriting CADMouse's Safari Setup and re-set up
