Feature request for Space Navigator in Mac

Can you please allow the buttons in Space Navigator to behave in the same way as Windows?
One example...
On Windows: in a 3D software I press a button to lock translation and pan... I press again to unlock.
On Mac: I need to keep pressing the same button to do the same operation...

Is there any reason for not working the same way?

Thanks for your input. We'll look at enhancing this in the next driver release.
