SpaceNavigator using NumKey mapping

Post by doreng »

Working on a project where I would like to use the SpaceNavigator to navigate instead of using my numkeys right now I'm using the numkeys 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,+,- I would like to map those numkeys with the SpaceNavigator so that the wheel simulate numkey 4 for left 6 for right 8 for top 2 for down zoom in and out + and -

Is there any way to do key mapping to the wheel itself

Any Help will be great

Can't map macros to Control Knob

Post by Bryan »

Dear Mr. Doreng,

I'm sorry there is no way to map keystroke macros to the the six degress of motion provided by the input from the manipulation of the control knob.

You may only make button mappings in applications that recognize our devices. (The general operating system would not be considered as part of this grouping of applications.) Buttons mapped within an application would have a higher priority than buttons mapped in the 3Dconnexion control panel. So you would want to use the application's macro features in those applications that have their own Button Mapping Editor.

Sincerely,
Bryan g.
