Continuous slow scrolling bug in Google Earth w/ SnowLeopard

Post by hg1954 »

After installing Snow Leopard (Mac OS X 10.6) on my MacBookPro and continuing after upgrading to Mac OS X 10.6.1, my Space Navigator PE displays an unwelcome behavior in Google Earth (v 5.0 and v 5.1).

Everything worked fine under the previous version of Mac OS X but now after I use SpaceNavigator to manipulate the view in Google Earth and then take my hand off of the SpaceNavigator knob, the view slowly and continuously scrolls up.

The unwanted scrolling stops if I use my mouse to click anywhere in the 3D Viewer pane of the Google Earth window.

I have reinstalled the Space Navigator driver with the latest version but there has been no improvement.

Any ideas?

Drifting in Google Earth on MacBookPro

Dear hg1954,

In the '3Dconnexion Control Panel', under the 'Device' Tab, click on the 'Calibrate' button and see if re-zeroing your device helps.

Sincerely,
Bryan G.
