Nice. That is the proof of what I’m saying for weeks now, the newer driver is brokenhenke wrote: ↑Fri Apr 13, 2018 4:11 amI made it!
– I uninstalled the original driver.
– Then I installed the old one the Jorge linked to.
– Then I allowed the kernel extension as UtaSH mentioned.
– Restart.
– Now I installed the most recent driver.
– Restart.
– Allowed the kernel extension again.
Now it works!

Well, I think its rather about the kernel extension actually. But anyway, it worked for me. Hope it works for you too.

Hi Jorge_rui,
Are you working directly at your mac or are you connected remotely to it? (See here.)
It could be as well that you have another 3rd party driver installed that is asking for approval. Check if this is the case and if yes uninstall that software. You should then have the possibility to "Allow" the 3Dconnexion kernel extension.

I'm not using nay kind of virtualization.
If you are using that on your test machine, don't. A think that no one that make any serious/profissional CAD work uses things like Parallels or virtualBox, etc...

I finally got this working in high sierra, by installing the old driver and then installing the new driver, allowing for the new security setting.
It finally worked. But when I restarted just now it is back to no longer clicking.
i can't believe a simple mouse is having so many technical issues. is there a fix for this yet?

This is what you need to do. I Had the same problem.
Go on a windows machine or windows virtual machine and plug you Cad Mouse via cable.
Then Download Firmware update for mouse here https://www.3dconnexion.com/technical_s ... r17928.exe
It will recognize the mouse automatically or if you have more 3D connection devices choose your CadMouse from the Dropdown menu.
Hit update and then when your firmware is updated go and plug your mouse to your mac. Install the Big Sur beta https://3dconnexion.com/uk/support/faq/ ... 1-big-sur/
and Voila. Now you can connect your mouse via bluetooth if you wish.
It worked for me after all other suggestions failing.
Hope this helps

Link to the FAQ page with the firmware update tool CadMouse Wireless is here.
The FAQ page is maintained but deep links to download locations will eventually be removed after newer software is made available.
