SpaceMouse Enterprise Display inverted...

Post by rdtymko » Sun Oct 04, 2020 11:20 am

Hi, installed the latest driver for MacOs Mojave, and now the display is inverted with white letters in light blue background.
I can no longer make out the words.

How do I change it back to black letters.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the driver, rebooted several times, tried using the default setting button.

All to no avail.

Thanks for the help in advance.

Hi rdtymko,

I assume you unplugged the device and plugged it back in as well?
This is actually the first time that we have a report like this for the SpaceMouse Enterprise with Big Sur. :? Are you using Dark Mode or Light Mode? Do you have any specific settings for the appearance of the windows?

UtaSH, rdtymko mentioned Mojave (not Big Sur). And I have the same problem that the button text on LCD screen is white (so it is difficult to read from the LCD screen). So black text would be much easier. And I'm also running Mojave.

You don't need to look at the LCD screen during modeling with SpaceMouse Enterprise. Just press one of the 12 intelligent function keys a bit longer than the normal stroke duration and there will be on-display menus indicating the current application-wise intelligent function keys. So no need to incline the neck and turn your attention to the SpaceMouse Enterprise LCD, just focus on the computer display.

The same white lettering happens in Big Sur as it does in Mohave in Drak mode. The holding down of the button for an extended moment is a neat trick but takes longer than looking at the screen. Yes I have rebooted, unplugged from USB I even deleted the drivers and reloaded the latest driver and it still does the same thing. In Dark mode the letters are white and in light mode the letters are dark. Should it not be in dark mode the background is dark and the letters are white and in light mode the letters are dark and the background is light?

THe background does not change colour when switching modes only the text.

Would you please check if you still have that problem with our beta driver.
This driver is for lower macOS versions, too.

Let us know what you find out. Thanks.

The package with revision "r3274" was published as "beta 7" and superseded by "beta 8" on Nov 27. Since then, "beta 9" has been made available and "beta 10" s expected to be released within the next few days.

Old beta builds are deleted after a new version is published. We recommend subscribing to the topic linked in the previous paragraph if you wish to be kept informed of new developments.

The latest beta version did not fix the problem...

3DxWareMac_v10-7-0_r3278.dmg

Dark mode turns the letters white light mode turns the letters dark.

Why is this taking so long to fix?

This is a lower priority issue and we have not yet reproduced it in house.
