Re: macOS Big Sur - Beta Driver Available
Always in Edge: middle clicking on a link works (it opens a new tab), middle clicking on a tab (in order to close it) doesn't.
Re: macOS Big Sur - Beta Driver Available
Sorry for the many posts, I'm posting as I'm testing.
In Edge: configuring wheel button as click button 3 works for tab closing, same configuration on Middle button or Virtual Radial button doesn't.

Re: macOS Big Sur - Beta Driver Available
Don't know what to do or try... in Edge configuring Middle button as "click" or "click button 3" doesn't work.
Re: macOS Big Sur - Beta Driver Available
That looks fine, yes. Try deleting the configuration for "Microsoft Edge" and change only the configuration for "Any Application".
Also, ensure you have Microsoft Edge updated to the latest available version.
Re: macOS Big Sur - Beta Driver Available
No way. Any application or Edge.app configuration Middle button can't act as click button 3

Re: macOS Big Sur - Beta Driver Available
And it works on Safari.
This seems to be an issue isolated to a feature (close tab with a button 3 click) on a specific application (Microsoft Edge) on your machine.
We will continue to monitor this issue to see if there's a pattern somewhere but we don't have any further suggestions at this point.

Tried to uninstall 3Dx, Middle button works on Edge. Re-installed 3Dx but the issue is still there.
Re: macOS Big Sur - Beta Driver Available
As we noted above, it appears that you are not editing the same configuration the driver loads when Microsoft Edge has input focus.
You can try assigning the middle mouse button to a completely different action, like a "keystroke". Then, switch to Edge and press the button. If you get the keystroke that you just assigned, then you are indeed editing the correct configuration and I cannot fathom what the problem could be. We can't reproduce any of that.
Our driver does not change the configuration when the mouse pointer moves from a link on a web page to the tab control. I cannot explain why the action would work for a link (open web page on a new tab) but not to close the tab when it is the exact same action.

Yes, other actions (keystroke or right click too) work as expected when assigned to Middle Button.ngomes wrote: ↑Tue Oct 26, 2021 8:30 am As we noted above, it appears that you are not editing the same configuration the driver loads when Microsoft Edge has input focus.

Is there a way to completely clean 3Dx files? After uninstalling and reinstalling 3Dx I noticed that app configurations were still there...
Re: macOS Big Sur - Beta Driver Available
Anyway seems that Edge forces the 3Dx to act as a standard mouse:
I tried to assign wheel button cmd+shift+H keystroke (Edge Home); while positioned on an Edge tab, clicking the wheel button performs the keystroke (I see History in the menu highlighting for a while) but closes the tab too (button 3 click)

Re: macOS Big Sur - Beta Driver Available
After uninstalling the driver and rebooting the system, you can move (or delete) the "com.3dconnexion.[...].plist" files in ~/Library/Preferences
What model of CadMouse do you have? If you have a wireless device, does it matter if it is connected over Bluetooth or by a cable?
