Downloaded new Mc driver - mouse moves, no click

Post by treeline »

Had this problem a year or two ago when I downloaded a new driver. The mouse pointer works just fine but I cannot click anything.

Looks like a known issue with the original CadMouse (wired) or the CadMouse Wireless on macOS 11.

You may want to refer to this topic.

Support sent me a Firmware Update Tool (Windows only)
just want to inform :

Together with latest Beta driver and new Firmware,
original CADMouse USB works again fine for me again under Big Sur !

All Buttons work,
all custom Assignments work.

Good news indeed. Thank you for the confirmation, zoomer.

If we continue to receive positive feedback from other customers, users of the original CadMouse, the flash tool will be made available in a FAQ web page. We expect the software to be published by mid of next week.

Please ensure you use "beta 9" (revision r3278) of the new driver after updating the CadMouse firmware to version 1.06. The beta driver can be downloaded from here.

Still problems. I used my Windows machine to update the CadMouse firmware to version 1.11. Went back to my Mac and updated the driver to the new BigSur version 10.7 but now the Mac doesn't even find the mouse. I have the Bluetooth searching until it finally gives up. Not very pleased about this mess at all.

Updated firmware as instructed on my Windows machine. Now the mouse doesn't even connect via Bluetooth on my iMac. Totally disappointed.

Looks like the firmware update failed. I suggest you get in touch with our Tech Support team (contact details here) and they should be able to assist you.

Concerning the original CadMouse (wired), 3Dconnexion has released firmware v. 1.06 earlier today.

Refer to the FAQ page here and click on the "requires firmware version 1.06 or newer" link.
