Multiple Versions of Vectorworks

I'm using multiple versions of Vectorworks. Should each version appear as a separate application within the properties dialogue within System Preferences? I'm attempting to import my custom configuration file into each separate version of VW but I always get a message asking me if I really want to change the settings for another version.

In your scenario, I'd suggest install virtual machine and install different versions of Vectorworks in the virtual machine, each virtual machine for each verson of Vectorworks. Modern PC CPU and GPU are powerfully enough to support many virtual machines.
