SpaceNavigator USB - replacement rubber non-slip disk?

Post by funky-monkey »

Hi all,

I have a few SpaceNavigator mice (12 to be precise). With general wear and tear the adhesive rubber grip on the bottom of the mice has come loose or damaged.

Does anyone have any suggestions on where I can purchase some of these here in the UK (from a third party, as 3D Connexion don't offer spare parts)?

Thank you,
Harry

No such spare part you can find in UK, SpaceNavigator is made in Amoy(Xiamen city) in China.
Probably you can carve out the rubber shape from a rubber sheet according to the original SpaceNavigator's rubber bottom. The other suggestion I can make is to invest in new SpaceMouse model, the 3DxWare driver support for SpaceNavigator will end on 30.09.2021.

Related to the expired drivers: I also have a few older models with no driver support, so I decided to make my own that might benefit others:

So far, it seems to work with the different devices I have (old and new).
