Space Navigator Unable to install on MacBook Pro

Post by Subsea »

Hi, just purchased a new in box Space Navigator and downloaded the latest driver package for Mac as directed but keep getting "you cannot install here" message when trying to install. I have not even been able to select where to install the program!!

Using Mac OSX ( Big Sur ) ver 11.2.3 (20D91) macOS 10.16.0
Fusion 360 2.0.10027

Hopefully someone can help me!

Thanks

You're probably trying to install the 10.6.7 driver on macOS 11. That won't work. For macOS 11 and newer, driver v. 10.7.0 (currently in beta testing) or newer is required. For more details, see this post.

There's a button to download the "beta" driver ("3DxWare 10.7.0 Beta (Big Sur)") from the main download page here.

I can not get this spacemouse pro to install on MacOS Catalina. How to un block 3Dconnexion S.A.M

in settings it only recognises two buttons.

The lights only stay on for a few seconds.
It also works as a regular mouse.

Not what I bought it for.

I un-installed the drivers at least 6 times.
