CadMouse Wireless multiple function fail

Post by Passerine Master »

Platform: M1 MacBook Pro 13 - Build A2338
OS: Mac OS Big Sur 11.6
3DxMacCore Version 1.2.0.252 (252)
3DxWare version 10.7.0 (3386)
CadMouse Wireless Firmware 1.11 (updated from 1.06)

Issues:

1, 3DConnexion Home DOES NOT display battery status - status display: Unknown
2, Device Speed adjustment DOES NOT work, no movement change after tuning status bar
3, Mid click key & wheel click key (scrolling works) both DO NOT work -
NOTE: Programs tested: SketchUp Pro 2021 version 21.1.331 / AutoCAD LT 2022 for Mac version S.50.M.899
4, Thumbclick keys (forward and backward key) DO NOT work - ALL programs even Safari
5, Software hotkey mapping FAILS for above tested programs

Basically, after updating the firmware from 1.06 to 1.11, the CadMouse Wireless finally clicks(via Bluetooth), but seems only left clicks and rigth clicks with the scrolling function - other than these ... it does not performed as it designed to be.

As someone who from the pro-communities, we did not buy 3DConnexion products for zommbie shooting(well, sometimes we do I guess, and they worked fine), so these problems are very annoying ... Any suggestiongs ?

Many thanks

Try disabling Bluetooth and re-enabling it. The system does not seem to enumerate wireless CadMouse consistently immediately after first pairing. Cycling Bluetooth or rebooting appears to fix this.

Note that you can use your CadMouse connected by a cable if Bluetooth is disabled.

Hi ngomes,

Thanks for the tips.

It seems to work only for the mid click and wheel click. (But it requires rebooting the CadMouse Wireless' Bluetooth connection every time if I switch software ... fun ~~ )

The rest of the issues are still persisting while connected via Bluetooth.
Not yet able to test while connected via cable.

I Will update this after getting back from travelling.

Many thanks.

Hi ngomes and the rest of the community,

since last post, my OS is now updated to MacOS Monterey v. 12.0.1

I have connected CadMouse Wireless to a USB type C to Mirco cable directly to my M1 MacBook Pro 13.
Apart from the battery status is still display as 'unkown' the rest of the mentioned issues had been sorted.

@ ngomes, thank you very much.

But I would like to see these issues to be fixed also, via Bluetooth as well.
