3DconnexionHelper loop at 600% CPU

Post by Akash »

just upgraded to Enterprise [from a navigator]. and among other issues , it sometimes even when not in use at all, drives the CPU to near600%. [please see the attached screen shot]
unplugging the device does not make a difference [the 3DconnexionHelper stays at 600% ]. had to quit the helper and relaunch it to take it out of that loop. and I see that the helper has an older modified date [like a week older]then the rest of the driver.
I'm on Big Sur 11.6.2 on a good old MBP late2013. and latest driver 3411

thanks a lot

Just to add to previous post, even when fully idle the Helper stays at 100% CPU

thanks a lot

Hi Akash,

Sorry for the late reply but we wanted to verify your scenario before following up here.

We can't reproduce this, meaning there's a detail that we're missing.

Is this a reliable scenario for you? Does it always happen? Is the "helper" program already at 100% CPU after a system reboot or does it start to creep up after a specific application is used?
