SpaceMouse Compact and Fusion 360 are not working with lates update

Post by dzyner »

Hi. I finally updated my SpaceMouse Compact to the latest version (10.7.2 r3454) and it works fine the first time I open and use Fusion 360. However, when I close Fusion 360, and reopen it, it no longer works. I must reboot my computer to get it to work again, and then the cycle renews.

Has anyone experienced this, and if so, any work-arounds?

We're tracking this as bug MAC-339 and we're aiming to include a fix in the next driver update (likely v. 10.7.3).

One workaround is to quit Fusion and terminate the "3DconnexionHelper" process using Activity Monitor. Then, restart 3DconnexionHelper (open the "3Dconnexion" pane in System Preferences, say) and then launch Fusion 360.

I meant it as an indication that are more than one method to start the "helper" program.

Opening the "3Dconnexion" pane is one. Using Terminal is another.

I did the kill and restart that way:
Open Terminal and enter the following:

Code: Select all

sudo kill -2 `pgrep 3DconnexionHelper`; open '/System/Volumes/Data/Applications/3Dconnexion/3DconnexionHelper.app'

Thank you for the update on this issue. When you are going to release driver 10.7.3? This problem is really annoying!

Version 10.7.3 was published moments ago and includes the fix for MAC-339.

The software is available for download from this web page.
