CADMouse Click lag

Post by zoomer »

What I do not really like about my CADMouse (original) is that
it always ignores fast Clicks - although the button hardware does
a noticeable physical Click - which I recognize as a confirmation.

(I am not talking about CADMouse button hardware failures - my CADMouse was
already exchanged 2 times for that reason ...)

This happens all the time for me.
I have to carefully click at least for 300 ms to be sure the Click gets recognized.

I do not know where the long wire/bottleneck is, in the Driver (?)
But why is the click rejected at all ? I would not mind if the reaction would
just come a bit late - but ignored or rejected doe not feel trustworthy.

Does the Driver ignore the physical click because it is to slow to recognize it
or to slow to deliver to the operation system ?
I did not have such issues ever in the past until 5 years ago or so.
I see similar behavior in Windows, but only with certain Mice, although directly
connected to a board USB plug.
Is USB 3 not as reliable as USB 2 or 1 have been ?

BTW
I do not have such problems with my old Magic Mouse, although being wireless
connected only. Or never with any cheap Mouse or Logitch Mouse.
Only with 3DConnexion CADMouse or any similar high end Gaming Mice - which
also do not even work as a standard Mouse without their own proprietary drivers.
