Parallels running UGS NX1, NX2, NX4?

Post by warhense »

Will the Spacenavigator work in UGS NX (all versions) when running under WinXP (or Vista) while in Parallels running on Mac OS X :?:

Unigraphics NX

Post by warhense »

Still waiting for a reply. Anyone tried using Unigraphics on a Mac which runs Windows XP emulated by an app called Parallels?

www.parallels.com

Would like to use the Space Navigator with this, but heard there may be some issues with this hardware.

Thanks,

It will probably work, since I have been able to test google earth, sketchup, autocad and some othe apps emulated through parallels. The problem is that under parallels you won't get accelerated 3D and everything looks like slowmotion.

But the driver and the device are working under the emulated OS with no problems here (XP, I don't know Vista)

You do know that UGS NX5 is being officially released for OSX Universal? (assuming you can afford the $22,000 price tag!)

Apparently it is UGS' commitment to provide all their software available for all platforms, including we hope, SolidEdge. :D :D

Let's hope Solidworks wakes up and 'smells the coffee' too. SW's e-drawings for Mac works better than the PC version imo :D

Parallels is OK, but there is nothing like a real written-for-OSX app.
