Spacemouse compact inoperable after win10 update

I have a Spacemouse compact and love it but unfortunately windows10 Pro 64bit has done an update that seems to have broken the device.
No amount of uninstalling and reinstalling official 3DConnexion software older or newest has helped. The Blue Ring light is on but the device does not seem to be recognised by windows.
The images show various devices list and how that are recognised now.
I'm sure i use to have the 3dconnexion icon in the lower Right hand side of the screen too but no more.
the update shown appears to be the ones that broke it.
Any suggestion of editing XML files or what to chase down next would be most appreciated. Since getting this and learning how to operate it I'm now totally hamstrung without it.

The spacemouse compact is not even registering within the 3DxSmartUI.exe
i have installed 3DxWare64_v10-8-12_r3545.

Are you using Citrix Workspace or similar product? Did you recently update it?

If so, are you able to use your 3D mouse after uninstalling the Citrix application?

I do have Citrix installed for remote access for work.
I have disabled it and at start up for now but will try uninstall and try again,

uninstalling the Citrix work space did the trick.

Unfortunately I require that for remote work access, so I'll see how best to find a compromise.

after reinstalling Citrix the space mouse still works after a reboot.

Solution:
Uninstall citrix
reboot
check if space mouse works.
reinstall citrix
reboot
check spacemouse and it should still work.
