USB3.1 hub and Google Earth

Post by FPGA »

I observed strange behavior using 3Dconnexion SpaceNavigator connected to an USB3.1 Hub and using Google Earth pro 7.3.4.8248 (64-bit).
The mouse acted like a sticky digital joystick, it was unusable.

The SpaceNavigator worked fine in CAD DesignSpaceMechanical (aka SpaceClaim) connected to the same USB-hub.
The SpaceNavigator worked fine in Google Earth connected to a Frontpanel USB2.0 port.

Using different USB port solved it for me.

I am still on 3DxWare 10.7.2.3314 and the product is in Extended Support Period. Should I try the 10.8.3 ?

What's your SpaceNavigator firmware version.
Start 3Dconnexion Settings, click ‘More >’ and 'About' to see the firmware version under Devices section.
