SpacePilot PRO letter assignment shortcut

Post by rookiee »

Hi!

Could find in settings if there's an option to assign specific letter to key on spacepilot? I use specific 3d software which has preprogramed some shortcuts which I can't change them but to speed up process it would be great to have on spacepilot rather on keyboard. So is there a path? :) regards

Hello rookiee -

Yes, you can map a single letter by typing directly into the button field in the 3Dconnexion Properties button assignments. If your application shortcut is an 'S' for instance , type the 'S' next to the button you want to map the shortcut to.

If your shortcut has more than one letter , click the arrow for the drop-down list for the button you want to map and choose the 'Macros' section. Type the letters of your shortcut into the 'New macro' box and give the shortcut a name so that you will be able to select it from a list. Once you save it the name of the new macro will be in the list of macros to be mapped to a button.

Which 3D application is it ? If it is one that has a pre-defined profile there will be some application commands already in the button mapping.
