Go to the notification area and right click on the space navigator icon and click calibrate. Do not touch the space while it calibrates. If that doesn't work either post back or try the support page to try and get it replaced if it's under warranty.

Hello miso -

Pleased to know the calibration corrected the problem. This can happen if the Space Navigator gets 'off-center' - that will cause unwanted movement on screen as it keeps trying to move back toward center. Calibration clears that so it stops the movement when the cap is not touched.

Suffering from the same issue, using a a brand new device, have tried everything under the sun but to no avail, I still get drifting. I can only assume there is a software conflict somewhere.

Cheers
