HP RGS and 3D mouse

Post by Uhle »

Hi

Can I somehow work with SpacePilot pro, if im using HP RGS to work with Cad software remotely in server?
The best I have today, is that one of axies work like a zoom in and out all other axies and buttons do nothing!
HP Remote Graphics Receiver Ver. 7.2.1.7921
3D connection soft is the last one v10.4.5!

Thank you in advance!

Hello Uhle -

3Dconnexion recommends and supports only the direct connection of devices to a USB port on the local PC.

HP built support for 3Dconnexion devices inside their software so it is their their technical support that would help with any issues working it.

The HP RGS software needs to be installed and configured on both PCs - the RGS Sender and the RGS Receiver . There is an option in the RGS installation to "Enable Remote USB - Check this box if USB devices attached to the Local Computer need to be accessible by the Remote Computer". If Remote USB has not been enabled on both sides, the RGS installer would need to be run again to add it.

With the RGS software enabled on both sender and receiver the device input is forwarded to the remote PC. Just as when working on a local PC, make sure the CAD application is one that recognizes 3Dconnexion devices and that it is the application shown in 3Dconnexion Properties.

If you are still seeing a problem when using the HP RGS software after checking these things you would need to contact HP support.
